Employee Benefits

If you are looking to improve the Employee Benefits for your staff and enhance your Family Friendly Poicies -Childcare vouchers are a flexible and tax-efficient way to cover childcare costs for the employee.

Employees agree to sacrifice up to £243 a month or £55 per week from their pre-tax salary for childcare vouchers. The employee makes tax and national insurance savings and as the employer you can save up to 13.8% on Employers National Insurance Contributions.

The childcare vouchers scheme must be offered to all employees to satsify the conditions laid down by the HMRC.

Child care vouchers are redeemable at any approved childcare provider.   The vouchers can be used in full or part payment for a wide range of child care options including childminders, day nurseries, creches, nannies, extended school care.  For for the employee to benefit from the tax and national insurance exemption, the chosen child care provider must be registered or approved.

Childcare vouchers can only be used to pay for the care of children up to the age of 15 years (until 1 September following their 15th birthday) or the age of 16 years if they are disabled (until 1 September after their 16th birthday).

"We like dealing with Gemelli Childcare Vouchers because of the minimum amount of fuss in setting up the scheme. Our employees have benefited financially and Gemelli have handled the paperwork for them efficiently – we would certainly encourage other independent school to take advantage of this voucher scheme."
